Beauty Salon Equipment Checklist: From Delivery Acceptance to Daily Opening
A practical handover checklist covering space, power, accessories, hygiene, records, training, and after-sales communication.
The real work starts after delivery
Many salons focus on appearance and feature count during purchasing, then overlook layout, training, cleaning, and records after delivery. A handover checklist helps every operator follow the same steps.
Before opening: five checks
- Confirm the location, outlet load, ventilation, and clearance around the device.
- Check the main unit, handpieces, cables, eye protection, and accessories.
- Photograph the serial number, exterior, and initial condition.
- Assign daily opening, closing, and cleaning responsibilities.
- Keep the manual, training notes, and service contacts together.
During service: three non-negotiables
- Screen first: confirm recent conditions, sensitivity, and suitability for the service.
- Make settings traceable: record mode, intensity, time, and handpiece.
- Stop on an abnormal sign: pause for unusual heat, noise, warning lights, or client discomfort and follow the service process.
After closing: leave the machine ready
Clean contact surfaces, organise cables, check consumables, and return accessories to their assigned locations. For LED/PDT panels, keep the surface clean and cooling vents clear. For RF and HIFU systems, follow the manual for handpiece and coupling-medium maintenance.
Questions to ask a supplier
Confirm warranty scope, consumable pricing, training format, remote support, repair response time, software updates, export voltage, and available marketing materials. Put the answers in the purchase file so future expansion is easier.
The value of a device is not only that it can be switched on. It must also be stable, recordable, and easy to reuse in a real service workflow.
